A FB friend made a post responding to an inquiry about the blood moon prophecies, the Shemitah prophecies and end time events. His reply was well thought out and reasonable. My own thinking on the subject then came into question. I “liked” my friend’s post and made my comment. The following is that assessment of my present understanding. It seems appropriate to consider where I am physically and spiritually on this day of Yom Kippur (Atonement).
I took my family to Hawaii in 1973 in anticipation of an economic collapse with attendant loss of the grid etc. Good news was I and my wife got saved out of that experience. The Christians in Hawaii began preparing for the end times. Then in 1977 we moved to Florida–after a few years the Christians began storing food, preparing for the soon return of Messiah. I saw several iterations of this scenario over the last 30 years. I bought gold, sold stock, hoarded cash along with beans, etc on several occasions.
I believe in being prepared and I “know” judgment is coming, not only on the U.S. but the entire world. I believe Christians and even Messianics will experience the tribulation. But God’s grace, mercy and provision is legendary as is His judgment. I now believe in not being a “foolish virgin”–I’ll try to determine what “oil” I should have a supply of (physical and spiritual) and look forward to the coming of the Bridegroom. If I enter in with Him–I will have no fear or want. Leaning to my own understanding He will see to it that I miss it–He is a jealous God–that lesson is also legendary.
